    Dave: Yeah I fried …
Dave: Yeah I fried chicken out on the grill burner a week or so ago. At least I didnt have to hear about the splatter. I still ended up with allot of dried grease on the OUTSIDE of my black iron pan when I was done. Do you have that problem? I guess steel wool on the outside is ok and wont affect how it cooks food? The pan is the BOMB though. Its about 50 years old and has really been seasoned over the years. Its an 8 inch wide 4 inch deep pan. Nice & deep good for frying.

Sure you can use an …
Sure you can use an electric skillet, as long you get the oil hot, it will work. The lid will make it soggy. But whatever you like. You could do it out side on the side burner of your grill?

  20. wreckanchoron 18 Dec 2008 at 12:55 pm

    Hey Dave: Have you …
Hey Dave: Have you ever tried frying pork or chicken in an electric Skillet with a lid? The reasn I ask is because when I fried chicken in the iron pan my wife gave me a bunch of grief over the greese splatering on the stove and there was a bit of greese on the outside of my cast iron pan and it was hard to clean off. Ever use an electric skillet?

    thanks
