Nigella Lawson…Mustard Pork Chops

Nigella loves the old French favourites, so here are French Pork chops drenched in Mustard, Cider and Cream sauce with some Gnocchi to soak up the excess!

    Another thing that …
    Another thing that helps thicken the sauce, besides reducing the cider, is adding a bit of cornstarch. I know it’s not in the recipe, but I tried it when my own sauce didn’t thicken, and it worked very well. But reducing the cider is also a good way to do it.

    This is the Nigella Express series, so everything’s supposed to be cooked the fast and easy way.

    If you watch her other series like Nigella Summer, Nigella Feast, etc. you’ll see that she seasoned and marinated them almost all the time.

    Why would you want …
    Why would you want to season meat with more than salt and pepper? This brings out just the right, and best, flavour of the cut. Of course one can use various other seasonings, such as rosemary, sage, thyme and so on. But it also depends on what you’re having with your meat.

    the cider needed a few mins to reduce and burn off the achol. The sauce can be thicker than that if it was reduced
