Punch Pizza – The Best Pizza in Minneapolis
We are pizza snobs and proud of it. We make our own dough many times and always are coming up with new ideas for pizzas. However, we do have a favorite pizzeria in our area that just can’t be beat. They are consistent, quick, and delicious.
Punch Pizza has several locations in the Twin Cities area is consistently named The Best Pizza in the Twin Cities by the eating public. Once you eat there, you will know why. They are masters of the Neapolitan Pizza.
Only the freshest and most authentic Ingredients top Punch’s pizzas . San Marzano and Mt. Vesuvio tomatoes and Mozzarella di Bufala are examples. We love their Margherita Extra and there have been times it wasn’t available because they did not have the fresh Mozzarella di Bufala. Of course, that didn’t send us down the road because they have other wonderful offerings. You can also make your own selections to customize your pizza. Any day (and I really mean that), we will enjoy their regular Margherita pizza with an extra topping of feta.
In addition to the ingredients, the crust is what makes their pizzas. The pizzas are baked in 800 degree ovens that are custom made for each location. They are hand tiled and also have names selected from their favorite pizzarias in Naples. At 800 degrees, your order is ready in 90 seconds. If you order a salad, it is barely on the table and the pizza is there. This is serious fast food.
Speaking of salads, their Punch salad is a favorite of ours. It is a wonderful mix of greens, pine nuts, shaved parmesan and wafer thin slices of Prosciutto. The salad is served with a creamy Balsamic Vinagrette on the side and a wonderful slice of crusty rosemary topped foccacio. Salads are all available in half or whole orders. We easily can share a half salad with our pizza order. They have four other wonderful salads, as well as Artichoke Dip.
But the stars are their pizzas and you just can’t go wrong with any of them.
Punch serves beer, wine, sodas, San Pellegrino waters, and is kid friendly. If you are in the Twin Cities, stop by one of their locations and take a dining trip to Naples for an excellent pizza.
