Cedar Lakes is a family resort located behind Nerang in the Gold Coast Hinterland. This is an open design which affords many opportunities for children and adults (3yrs – 103yrs), there are many local activities ranging from Mini golf, swimming in the pool, paddle boating and horse riding. The resort is located onĀ 100 acres and has many established walking tracks for all levels of fitness.
There is an on site restaurant “The Lodge” which caters for breakfast, lunch and dinners daily.
The Meal:
The meal we had was the $10.00 Monday night special, which was chicken schnitzel with your choice of 1 of 4 toppings:
- Cheese and Tomato
- Mushrooms
- Cheese bacon and pineapple
- Plain
All the above came with either chips and salad or chips and vegetables.
We opted to try the plain, the cheese and tomato with salad and with vegetables and the mushrooms and vegetales. This was preceded with Salt and Pepper squid, made with locally caught produce.
Staff:
The staff are friendly and it felt like visiting someone house, friendly and calm. The atmosphere is Australian country homestead. Very comfortable
Drinks:
Well as we have 3 teenagers with us it is good to know that we had 4 rounds of drinks (i had 1 beer and my wife a cocktail) and this only came too $45.50 Bargain
Conclusion:
As a family based resort this provided good value meals for all ages, you could either order of the specials or theme night menu or the al a Cart, either way you will expect to pay about $50.00 or for about 5 people plus drinks.
