    In most cases, the …
In most cases, the source of selective pressure is unknown. But many genes ociated with resistance to disease emerge from the scans, confirming that disease is a powerful selective force. Another category of genes under selective pressure covers those involved in metabolism, suggesting that people were responding to changes in diet, perhaps ociated with the switch from hunting and gathering to agriculture.

    people have …
people have different nutritional requirements based on their genetics. some people thrive on a high animal protein and fat diet and some do better on a high carb diet. of course everyone does better with some animal products.

    my point about …
my point about insects was that its not that different from eating meat. gorillas, chimps all apes eat insects when fruit is plentiful. so that destroys the whole lying vegan argument. thats what about it :)

  4. bigusdikus0on 13 Dec 2008 at 2:35 am

    vegans used to …
vegans used to claim that apes being vegetarian shows that humans are. then when they were found to be hunters and meat eaters they make up fairy tales about rituals haha

    urwrong it doesnt …
urwrong it doesnt matter that they eat 5% any amount is still something. a low number doesnt equal 0. lets see some proof that the meat eating is not nutritional. do they have insect eating rituals? why dont they ritualize fruit if thats their most important food? why meat?

    my definition for …
my definition for omnivore is found in dictionaries where as “frugivore” cannot be found. , even my firefox spell check doesnt even notice “frugivore” as a word.
you are just too into being a “frugivore”, even tho you dont eat only fruit since that’s what a frugivore is supposed to be due to your definition, that you cannot comprehend that there is NO NATURAL DIET for humans. as i keep saying, each human is different. some digest stuff better than others.

    unless someone …
unless someone cannot digest the plant/veg life…

    ironman711 “my …
ironman711 “my definition for omnivore is found in dictionaries”
Should be easy enough to copy those thoughts then. So what is it? Operationalize it & apply it.

This is as I prdicted.. u are unable to provide a working definition for “omnivore”

“Omnivore” is a non-scientific/blanket term. Colliqually, which I must ume u are trying to use it that way..- Omnivore means consuming meat & plants. as cows also do.. So.. What do I do w/this info?? How does it apply to health/natural food??

    “Those who wish to …
“Those who wish to be mediators between two resolute thinkers are marked as mediocre: they lack eyes to see the unparalleled; seeing things as similar and making them the same is the mark of weak eyes.”- Nietzsche
Meat is not digested equally to fruit. Meat is not equally as healthy. Fruit is digested best by all great apes. Meat causes diseases, fruit prevents them. They are NOT equal.

    :) Well human …
:) Well human beings do not need to byte into uncooked animals, we have known fire since the caves and made tools to hunt animals therefore we do not need sharp teeth or night vision eyes. So this video is just plainly stupid.

    omnivore: species …
omnivore: species adapted to a wide variety of foods.

crisism thinks a species can only be “adapted” to one food haha

  13. bigusdikus0on 13 Dec 2008 at 2:35 am

    what is a carnivore …
what is a carnivore? adapted to meat? why do they eat plants? even if were frugivores (which is debatable its just a classification) that doesnt neccesarily preclude us from eating animal products in moderation. besides the genetic change from eating meat for a long period changed our genetic makeup in regards to diet.

    we really dont know …
we really dont know much about chimp behavior. it was only recently they discovered apes hunt and eat meat. now the vegans claim to suddenly be experts on what they do and why. what a crock of

    ironman711 stated I …
ironman711 stated I didn’t know I had lactose intolerance, so what do I know about medicine? Well ironman711 is TOTALLY mistaken. I have been tested for lactose intolerance and I DO NOT HAVE LACTOSE INTOLERANCE as I have stated previously. Ironman711 knows nothing. I have casein intolerance, which is not the same as lactose intolerance. Lactose is a sugar and one may take the lactase enzyme to not get the symptoms. Casein is a protein and nothing can be taken to not get the symptoms. Stop dairy.

  16. bigusdikus0on 13 Dec 2008 at 2:35 am

    see thats proof …
see thats proof that people are different genetically in regards to diet. some populations digest casein fine and others dont

    indeed they do. …
indeed they do. they also subject themselves to the hormones and antibiotics that these factory farms inject them with, and subsequently suffer the health ramifications. These people are also prone to overeating, smoking, drinking, and lack of exercise.

would you agree that health conscious individuals who incorporate modest portions of lean organic meats and fish are devoid of the vast majority of ailments that afflict these populations, not predetermined by genetics and heredity?

    chimps eat them …
chimps eat them when fruit is plentiful. they also eat meat. why dont u get a clue wrong

  19. bigusdikus0on 13 Dec 2008 at 2:35 am

    thats all vegan …
thats all vegan propaganda about chimps not eating meat for nutrition how absurd

  20. bigusdikus0on 13 Dec 2008 at 2:35 am

    vegans are always …
vegans are always know it alls but they say exactly the same things. just brainwashed by the same propaganda

  21. djvardaron 13 Dec 2008 at 2:35 am

    You say that, but …
You say that, but the jury is still out on that one.

It usually comes down to an argument over protein. The vegan movement suggests that veg protein is enough. The meat eaters suggest that veg protein lacks certain amino acids that are (or at least, were) crucial to brain development and had helped humans develop the sort of brains we have now. Some reports say that happened just because we took in more protein than when we were herbivores.

Both sides seem to lean on the view they benefit.

  22. UrDoinItWrongon 13 Dec 2008 at 2:35 am

    The term “herbivore …
The term “herbivore” is usually used to refer to grazing animals, the grass eaters (rudiments). Chimps eat primarily fruit, some leaves and nuts/seeds, and less than 5% animal sourced food as part of their total diet. Only some chimp tribes have been observed hunting (ie. in gombe), and it is the result of territorial disputes and some bizarre courting rituals, not nutritional necessity. Most of the time they “wad” it with leaves, not fully consuming it. Learned behaviors.

    I never insinuated …
I never insinuated that you were a supporter of factory farms. Although most people happily eat what comes from them all day long.

  25. djvardaron 13 Dec 2008 at 2:35 am

    When the video …
When the video pictures its “herbivores” there is the picture of a chimpanzee, which we know are definitely not strict vegetarians.

Apart from the insects they eat, a David Attenborough documentary shows them hunting and eating a monkey. It was said that they do this on occasion.

If the video manipulates the truth to produce a rhetorical effect (as the example), why would we accept anything else it proposes?

Veganism is good. Especially in today’s society. But don’t lie. It ruins credibility.
