What happened to the New York Cafe in the Century Mall in Chicago during the 1980's?

This coffee cafe had an excellent Hazelnut Torte Cake. I am specifically looking for a similar recipe to what was served in this cafe during the 1980's.

Man I forgot about that place
I'm pretty sure that cake came from a bakery that used to be on Dearborn just north of Elm street, you walked down stairs to the front door, I can't remember the name of it, or the guy's name who owned it

There was a recipe in the Chicago Tribune around 1985. My husband made it once. It was very rich. I will look and find the recipe.

When the mall closed it also closed its doors.

Unfortunately, the whole Century Mall changed about 6 or 7 years ago. It's just not near as wonderful as it used to be.
