Ha ha, mate I was …
Ha ha, mate I was born in England and the amount of holes per square mile is a joke. Paris a hole, good old British sarcasm, blighty’s gift to the world. Sounds like you jealous of what the French have and you don’t. Historically The French have let themselves down more than once in combat, but eh also bailed out the Yanks when they were fighting the British, and had an empire equal if not greater than the British one. Go nosh on your pies with your -ant mates. Im joking btw.
Its amazing how …
Its amazing how many people are imressed by this pompous Ramsey. Wow he swears for the camera and gets worked up, big deal. He is undoubtedly an amazing chef but the hero-worshipping of this jerk has got to end. Grade A dickhead. I know im in the minority, but it, I’m right.

finally there is someone with enuf balls to talk to chef ramsay like that..
Ashley,there was no …
Ashley, there was no possibility of ‘reasonable’ discussion.Check out Gordon having a reasonable discussion with Sabatello’s Sammy. When they sat down to talk it out Gordo was to the point, appealing to Sammy’s heart.Even Michel aquiesced and said G was right,he was wrong.
Gordon is a bully. …
Gordon is a bully. But he is the boss.
Money certainly …
Money certainly isn’t an issue for me, but you’re doing exactly as Ramsey’s does, unnecessarily change the subject in order to demoralise people untactfully. If I were to use the same tactic, I might start on the Welsh…if you had any courtesy, intelligent or decent character, you’d see the way in which Ramsey manipulates any conversation to detract from any reasonable discussion.
Not a chance, …
Not a chance, definitely referring to that wanker Ramsey…
Ashley is referring …
Ashley is referring to the French Chef…
Class?Noooo!French …
Class?Noooo!French chef was a class-free zone i’m afraid.I’ll give you that swearing is an ill-conceived attempt to punctuate language. How many famous quotations contain swearwords? Gordon doesn’t need to swear-listen to his analysis:always spot on! He is convincing and forceful without the swearing. But that’s TV!
But the ‘French chef’???He swore too, but didn’t show anything but his idiotic egocentric foolishness!
In Australia we saw the episode uncensored – it was the episode that spurred a few compaints about how many F words Gordon Ramsay dropped in one hour! The funny thing is that he dropped the C word in this scene and no-one said anything. I’m sure it was Channel 9 (the broadcaster) who have boguh most of Gordon Ramsay’s shows, pushing the publicity – tons of free advertising on current affairs shows, comedy shows and talkback radio.
Gordon Ramsay is the man!
This was one of those crappy episodes where we had to run to the formula! The american format calls for a happy ending and this episode pretended that there was one. See Gordon Ramsay change shirts mid fight (editing).
This is why Ramsay’s Kitchen Nightmares USA will always suck compared to the UK version – it’s not all about the conflict and the makeover, with the revelation that gives instant results throughout the final service!
David,
I think you are correct in the fact that the American Kitchen Nightmares series’ did have a different editing and story style to meet the American market. Although I must say it was still interesting as it sis not really show the featured American restaurant owners in the same light as it did those in the UK. Your comments are appreciated and your opinions are good to see. We are always pleased to hear others comments on all thing Ramsay.
Justin
Chief Plonker,
You are correct that the television station used the old adage “that there’s no such thing as bad publicity” and drove the media frenzy, but you must admit even with the prolific language the series does show that Gordon knows his business and if the people who have applied for him to help them do not want to accept the assistance then the viewers will get a better show. I agree that the American series was targeted at what I call the “survivor” type audience and this is the primary reason we do not review the “Hells Kitchen” series as I prefer to see people being helped and great food being made rather than back-stabbing and lying by contestants.
I really enjoy it when readers provide such great feedback and opinions. I would also like to let you know that Gordon Ramsay’s office also reads our reviews and the comments which go along way to show that they really do care about the products they produce.
Thanks again,
Justin
