   And as he say’s in the later section, he was diagnosed as morbidly obese, and did something about it. The anti-veggie show was a way back in the Meades canon.

   He’s talking about the british banger, I ume the fast food/supermarket variety. I’m lucky enough to live near a great butchers, which I’ll going to more often after this.

   Good point around 9 …
   Good point around 9′ that the words beef and pork don’t reveal the connection with the living animal. I guess this is why Kentucky Fried Chicken became KFC – to avoid the image of a poor bird frying to death.
