Where can I buy a cookie tin?
I was planning to send my friend cookies and was just wondering if there were any places that sell cookie tins, not online. Not really looking for seasonal holiday tins, just plain ones. Valentine's Day themed ones would be fine though.
If stores like WalMart sell them, what section would they be located in? I've checked the kitchen/cooking gadgets section and couldn't find any there.
Try your local thrift stores. They always have tins at great prices. Most are clean and have no rust….check inside to be sure they are okay.

You can try the arts and crafts sores. If not, then just find a white box and put red tissue paper on the inside with flaps laying out. Put the cookies in and fold the flaps over. Decorate with some cut up hearts and a little card.

See if the hardware store or paint store has some empty paint cans. I would use those instead. You can use your imagination to decorate the paint tins. It's best to wrap cookies in pairs in small cellophane bags, then cushion extra space with plenty of bubble wrap and styrofoam to absorb impact.

I know at Christmas, Wal-Mart had them in the Christmas cards/decorations section. They will probably in the Valentine's seasonal section. If not, go on ebay soon and I bet they'll be tons on there.
