Published by at 2:28 am under Food News

Do you EVER remember hearing that before?
What's going on with our economy?
Stores are actually rationing sales. And this isn't just for homeless people. This is mainstream grocery stores.

And no, its not just corn from the ethanol thing.

When I went to Sams today there were signs up limiting the purchase of grains per customer. The signs are there.

Food price are up – which is inevitable when energy prices are high.

'Shortages' are overblown media hysteria. Yes, ethanol production has used an unprecedented amount of corn, and it could lead to shortages.

Corn and rice producers are intentionally reducing their crop sizes to force up the price. Particularly now with so much corn going towards creating fuel, they see an opportunity to line their pockets.

Of course environmentalists are going to blame global warming, but that is a cop out to the fact that their own plans and ideas are going to cause more harm than good.

So now the poor will go hungry and those of us in the middle class are going to have to pay more for everything… For what? so corn men can line their pockets and environmentalists can feel good about them selves…

    GREAT!

EDIT: It has nothing to do with the economy per-say, by the way… It has to do with the same mentality people (particularly environmentalists) claim only oil men have.

"Ethanol —- "Gore's Dream" is turning into our Nightmare.

This is just the beginning of the effects of "The Global Warming Hoax".

Ask the powers in con trol, Dems run the show, things were pretty good until a bunch of stupid people voted for Dems now isn't it lovely. If tough times are ahead social program babies are in trouble, we saw how well you handled crisis during Katrina, the conservatives sucked it up and rebuilt and the liberal off spring waded through sewage waiting for the government to save them. Personal responsibility and reliance goes a long way in hard times. Are you ready?

It is cheaper to export wheat to other countries than to sell it here now. Farmer's being paid not to grow wheat and using corn for fuel too.

when you take a grain like corn off of the market it will effect production of other food stuffs. it will also effect meat production when you remove something and there is no substitute to take its place you will have shortages. feed to feed beef, pork, and sheep and chickens goes up and producers have to charge more to offset their cost and they will reduce the numbers of their herds and flocks. this problem didn't exist until the liberals caved into the eco freaks and started subsidizing bio fuels subsidies from the government means that people can invest in these concerns and have no threat of losing any of their capital. in england at the world food summit this week countries were ask to increase the amount of money that they usually put in the pot to feed the hungry because of the increase in grain and food products. england is going to rethink their backing of biofuels programs in rome this week oil producing countries are having a hard time feeding their people even with having all the money needed they can't find the grain and food stuffs to buy. so you say that ethanol has no affect on food prices and food shortage i must say you are wrong. we need to get congress off of their eco butts and get back to what they are charged with insuring our right to life liberty and the pursuit of happiness. mr doodles
